The research on the factors affecting the timing of natural menopause in Chinese city women

Objective:To investigate the timing of natural menopause and the factors in the Chinese city women. Methods:Study participants were Chinese women aged 41～60 who come from 8 cities in china and participated in Cross-sectional survey.The participants were interviewed by questionnaires.Statistical analysis were carried by SPSS 13.0,and T-test,χ2-test,logistic regression analysis were used. Results:3 343 women were interviewed,and in which 1 268 with natural menopause.The mean age of natural menopause was 48.72±3.51.The factors possibly related were menarche,pregnancies,parity,profession,economic conditions,body mass index,milk. Conclusion:The mean age of natural menopause in Chinese city women is 48.72,and the factors which possibly can affect the age are menarche,pregnancies,parity,profession,economic conditions,body mass index and milk.
