DNA Barcode:A Technique for Taxonomy and Specie Identification

Some international organizations have launched an ambitious barcode of life project to promote a process which enables the rapid and accurate identification of the estimated 10 million species on Earth.DNA barcoding is a diagnostic technique in which short DNA sequences can be used for species identification.In this article,the usefulness and characteristics of molecular DNA barcode were reviewed simply,and some disputes and prospects in this research field were discussed.
