Effects of Pretreatment on Degradation of Corn Stalk

Chemical pretreatment on corn stalk by different chemicals such as dilute acid,NaOH,PEG-4000 and Triton-X-100 and by physical pretreatment in ultra low temperature were investigated.The results showed that,NaOH and ultra low temperature pretreatment were better,and more sugar was obtained.The structure of corn stalk pretreated had been destroyed.Measuring the production of biogas from pretreated stalk,liquid nitrogen-pretreatment saw best results.
