OBJECTIVE To determine and analyze the contents of Pb,Hg,As in different parts of Salvia Miltiorrhiza bge.METHODS The contents of Pb,Hg,As in root,stem,and leaf of Salvia miltiorrhiza were determined with inductive coupled plasma emission spectrometer and dual pathways atomic fluorescence spectroscope respectively.RESULTS The content of Pb in the root of Salvia Miltiorrhiza bge was slightly higher than the specified limit,and the contents of As,Hg in different parts of Salvia Miltiorrhiza bge were within the specified limit.CONCLUSION Based on the results of the contents of Pb,Hg,As in different parts of Salvia Miltiorrhiza bge,it is suggested that Salvia Miltiorrhiza bge should be planted in the region where less Pb,Hg,As exist in the environment.
