The Challenge of Electronic Technologies for Colleges of Education

The AACTE Task Force on Technology describes the challenge of providing teachers and teacher educators with the requisite knowledge needed in elec tronic information and communication technologies. Members describe 10 crit ical considerations needed in order to respond to technological advance ments ; they outline suggestions to help SCDEs plan for the future and to assess present programming efforts; and they highlight selected resourcesthat may be useful in understanding the state-of- the-art in computer and electronic technology.
