摘要
We have all witnessed visually challenged persons stumbling over objects in front of them as they continually tap the ground to check for obstacles in their path. Visually challenged people rely on their sense of touch and sound to navigate their surroundings, but this can be challenging in unfamiliar environments or when obstacles are present. A smart walking stick equipped with sensors and navigation technology can enhance the safety and independence of blind individuals by providing real-time audio cues about the environment and alerting them to obstacles. The proposed intelligent walking stick takes away the need for them to be constantly on guard. It increases their level of safety and lowers their risk of tripping and falling.
