摘要
The industry 4.0 transcends the inherent constraints of mankind and automation collude, hence in line with this 3D-printing offers garnering momentum due to its vast adaptability, straightforwardness, and efficiency as well as its broad spectrum of applications across an array of sectors. Among the several industries that have been benefited from 3D-printing technology, extensive studies have been devoted to the production of pharmaceuticals. The potential prospective digi-healthcare capitalizes on individualization of drug delivery platforms to revolutionize the existing pharmaceutical production approaches. A variety of 3D printing technologies have surfaced and are specifically employed in the manufacturing of pharmaceutical products. The field of producing dosage forms using 3D printing has made considerable strides recently, with the polypill being one of the notable examples. In particular, Polypill specifies the individualization of therapy, which directly influences the pharmaceutical care to patients. Due to numerous intra- and inter- variabilities, every individual's response to a particular therapy in clinical practice is not perpetually alike. The advent of 3D-print technology has ushered in an additional phase of precision and personalized medicine. But this may be called into skepticism by the practicality.
