Recent Achievements in Research for Cordierite-Based Glass Ceramics

Three techniques for fabricating cordierite-based glass ceramics are introduced, i.e.,melting technique,sintering technique and sol-gel technique.Effects of chemical compositions,additives and nucleating agents on the sintering characteristics and properties of cordierite-based glass ceramics are discussed, and the prospect of its development is viewed.
