Effects and safety of three kinds therapeutic regimens on type 2 diabetes patients with postprandial blood glucose above normal

Objective: To evaluate the effects and safety of Novolin 30R combined with Acarbose,insulin aspart 30 injection(BIAsp30) alone,BIAsp30 combined with Acarbose on type 2 diabetes patients whose postprandial blood glucose were more than 10.0 mmol/L after the treatment of Novolin 30R.Methods: One hundred and twenty type 2 diabetes patients with the postprandial blood glucose above 10.0 mmol/L after treatment of Novolin 30R were randomly assigned to group A,received Novolin 30R combined with Acarbose 50 mg t.i.d.group B,received BIAsp30 alone,and group C received BIAsp30 combined with Acarbose t.i.d.Fasting and postprandial blood glucose levels,HbA1c,the percent of HbA1c less than 7.0%,the dosage of insulin,the hypoglycemia incidence and weight gain were observed.Results: Postprandial blood glucose and HbA1c levels in the three groups were lower than those before the treatment(P0.05).Postprandial blood glucose levels were lower in C group than those in A and B group(P0.05).There were no significant difference about the percent of HbA1c less than 7.0% and the body weight among three groups.The dosage of insulin and the hypoglycemia incidence were also lower in C group than those in A and B group(P0.05).Conclusion: BIAsp30 combined with Acarbose can control the postprandial blood glucose levels effectively and have the predominance of the lower insulin dosage,lower hypoglycemia incidence and lower weight gain.
