In this paper, scale-inhibiting properties of polyaspartic acid and polyacrylic acid to calium sulphate and calcium carbonate were respectively studied under different conditions. Discrepancy of scale inhibiting properties of polyaspartic acid and polyacrylic acid was compared. Results showed that scaleinhibiting property of polyaspartic acid was preferable to that of polyacrylic acid. Polyaspartic acid was better than polyacrylic acid in water treatment system with high calcium concentration, high temperature, high pH and long resident time in pipeline.
