The Effects of Ferrous Concentration and pH on the Fe~(2+)-Initiated Lipid Peroxidation

The effect of ferrous concentration and pH on the Fe~(2+)-initiated lipid peroxidation in liposomes was studied by chemiluminescence. The results showed that increasing ferrous concentration or lowering pH value lengthened latent period of the lipid peroxidation and enhanced the lipid peroxidation.
