Autoimmune glial fibrillary acidic protein astrocytopathy following human herpesvirus-7 infection: a case report

This case highlights the importance of considering autoimmune encephalitis in patients with new or recurrent neurological symptoms after HHV7E recovery. Systematic mNGS and neuronal antibody testing are essential for timely diagnosis, and early aggressive immunotherapy may improve outcomes in post-HHV7E GFAP-A.
