Refractory Diarrhea and Gastric Adenocarcinoma, Just a Coincidence?

Question: A 22-year-old man experienced recurrent yellow watery stool for 3 years, 10–25 times a day, with a weight loss of 15 kg. In the local hospital, computed tomography enterography showed uneven thickening of the entire colon and cecum (Figure A), colonoscope showed rough mucus in terminal ileum and multiple erosion like changes with map-like shallow ulcers through the whole colon (Figure B), and pathologic examination showed villous atrophy and reduced goblet cells of terminal ileum mucus (Figure C) and moderate inflammation of all the intestinal mucus (Figures C, D).
