To study the effect of Highly pathogenic PRRSV(HP-PRRSV)on antioxidant function of Marc-145 cells and the effect ofα-lipoic acid(LA)on oxidative stress of Marc-145 cells infected with HPPRRSV.After LA within cellular safety concentration was added to Marc-145 cells infected with HPPRRSV,the Marc-145 cells were divided into three groups of virus-infected(group D),LA-treated-virus(group DLA)and LA-add(group LA).The normal Marc-145 cells were served as the control(group NC).The levels of hydrogen peroxide(H2O2),malondialdehyde(MDA)and the activity of superoxide dismutase(SOD),catalase(CAT)were detected 2hours later.Compared with group NC,the levels of H2O2 and MDA were significantly elevated(P0.05),and the activities of SOD and CAT were significantly reduced in group D(P0.05).All markers above were improved by treatment with LA(P0.05).HP-PRRSV can cause Marc-145 cell high oxidative stress,and LA has a protective effect on Marc-145 cell through inhibiting oxidative stress.
