Objective To establish the HPLC method for simultaneous determination of the caffeic acid and rosmarinic acid inXiakucao Oral Solution. Methods Detecting condition: C18column( 4. 6 mm × 250 mm,5 μm) and the gradient of MeOH-0. 1% acetic acid solution was taken as the mobile phase at a flow rate of 1. 0 ml /min,the detection wavelength was 330 nm and column temperature at 30 ℃. Results The linear ranges of caffeic acid and rosmarinic acid were 0. 056~ 0. 728μg( r = 1. 0) and 1. 65 ~ 21. 45μg( r = 1. 0) respectively. The average recovery rate of caffeic acid and rosmarinic acid were 101. 2% and 98. 8%respectively( RSDs were 1. 33% and 1. 31% respectively,n = 6). Conclusion The experimental results showed that the method could be used to determine the effective components including caffeic acid and rosmarinic acid inXiakucao Oral Solution.
