Confirmatory Factor Analysis on Construct Validity of Gong's Memory Assessment Battery

Objective: To confirm the construct validity of Gong's Memory Assessment Battery. Methods: 285 subjects aged from 7 to 15 years old were sampled from 4 urban schools and 4 rural schools. The construct validity were examined by Confirmatory Factor Analysis(CFI). Results: Rrom 4 theoretically constructed models, the 4-factor model (Working memory, Auditory Memory, Visual Recognition and Visual Free Recall) was fited best, with the NFI=0.931, RFI=0.893, IFI=0.957, TLI=0.932, CFI=0.957, RMSEA=0.082. Conclusion: The 4-factor structure of Gong's Memory Assessment Battery were confirmed in school-age children.
