Spectrophotometric determination of ferrous gluconate in ferrous gluconate tablets

Objective: To establish a spectrophotometric method for the determination of ferrous gluconate in ferrous gluconate tablets. Methods: Ferrous gluconate was determinated by spectrophotometric on 510nm. Results: Ferrous gluconate was good linear over the range 34～275(g/ml (C=4.987(A-0.002 ,r=0.9994),the average recovery was 98.48%(n=5), and RSD was 0.71%. Conclusion: This method is simple, accurate and precise.
