Role of the Environmental Monitoring in Environmental Impact Assessment

In the new period,the development of environmental protection is facing new opportunities and challenges in China.Environmental monitoring throughout the system of environmental impact assessment(EIA),EIA in the initial construction period,operation period and post-constraction period,the environmental monitoring data support the results of environmental impact assessment.Thorefore environmental monitoring is the technogical base of EIA and has a strong supervision function.
