In this paper we studied photoluminescence from organic solutions of C_(60) and C_(70) fullerenes. Strong and wide photoluminescence bands were observed in their pyridine solutions when they were exitted by visual or ultra-visual laser beams. Furthermore, complementary was found between the UV-Vis absorption spectra of the two fullerenes and their photoluminescence spectra, which indicated that fullerenes could well be used as white light (organic) LED materials.
