摘要
Fluid jet polishing process is a non-contact type polishing process which is used to manufacture different kind of precise components in various engineering sectors. Such processes require more deterministic material removal distribution to better understand the position of the workpiece material and impingement angle. In this paper attempt is made to simulate the three dimensional Fluid Jet Polishing (FJP) model at vertical and oblique impingement mode. It was observed from the simulation that the shape of Tool Influence Function (TIF) is unsymmetrical and achieve more material removal when jet strikes at oblique impingement mode. Also, concluded that material removal rate becomes more when impingement angle increases from normal axis of rotation.
