THE INFLUENCE OF TESTING ODE IN IMPERIAL EXAMINATIONS ON THE WRITINGS OF ODE IN TANG DYNASTY

Testing ode in imperial examinations had been held before the first year of Shenlong of emperor Zhongzong rather than after that. And the appearance of the ode with limitation was not the result of enlisting prodigies by means of odes;the limitation of rhyme was not begun in the second year of Kaiyuan . Testing ode in examination had not only positive effect on the writings of ode in Tang Dynasty,but also negative influence.
