The opening study of oral terbinafine in the treatment of tinea capitis in children

The cultural examination was performed on 52cases of tinea capitis in chi ldren according to the selecting sta ndard.The results showed that the main pathogenic fungus was zoophilic Microsporum canis(64.7%).The oral dose of terbinafine depend ed on the body weight.After 4weeks treatm ent,the clinical and fungal cure rates were 68.9%and 83.1%respectively.After 6weeks treatment is 82.9%and 97.4%respectively.While 4weeks after treatment ,these rates were 90.2%and 100%resp ectively.There was no obvious side effects during th e therapy.
