Peptide cyclization via late-stage functionalization of tryptophan by sulfonium

This study reports a feasible method for peptide cyclization via a sulfonium–tryptophan crosslinking. This method enables cyclization in three steps from solid-phase peptide synthesis, and no protective groups, catalysts or additives are required.
