Au/La2O3/TiO2 catalyst was prepared by the deposition-precipitation method and characterized by XRD and TEM. The influences of the preparation conditions and reaction conditions were investigated in details. The results show that La2O3 can enhance the catalytic activity of methanol steam reforming, and the addition of La2O3 can decrease the production of CO and CH4 evidently, and increase the hydrogen selectivity, when the H2O/CH3OH molar ratio is 1.0, WHSV reaches to 3.42h^(-1) and reaction temperature is at 275℃, the production of hydrogen via steam reforming of methanol over Au/La2O3/TiO2 shows the optimal performance.
