Under the influence of the monsoon, the South Asia region serves as a potential source of organic pollutants to the ecologically sensitive Tibetan Plateau (TP). However, the transport mechanisms remain unclear due to a lack of direct evidence along the pathways. As the capital of Nepal, Kathmandu ranks among the most polluted cities globally. This study investigates its potential as a source region of organophosphate esters (OPEs) influencing the TP. A total of 45 soil and 23 moss samples were collected along Himalayan valleys with altitude ranging from 254 to 3904 m in Nepal, and systematically |
