Spasticity—Clinical Classification and Surgical Treatment

A better understanding of spasticity and of its pathophysiology has progressively emerged from the period of pure neurological description. Spasticity should no longer be considered either as unavoidable during the recovery of a motor deficit, or as an irreversible state.
