Niobium tellurium as a novel broadband saturable absorber for pulsed fiber lasers

NbTe 2 has been proven to possess excellent nonlinear optical properties in this work. It performs well as a novel broadband mode-locker to generate stable laser pulses in both Er- and Yb-doped fiber lasers.
