Features of Grassland Zones in the Qinling Mountains and Its Northern Loess Plateau.

In regions strongly influenced by maritime monsoon and moist air current, the vertical zonality of grassland coincides basically with horizontal zonality of grassland. But in loess region of north of the Qinling Mountains, the influence of maritime climate is weak, there appears semi arid and arid climate, forming the features of special vegetation zones. Grassland from the foot to top of the Qinling Mountain are as follows: Artemisia and gramineous grassland, Gramineous and weedy grassland, Kobresia grassland. In the loess regoin of north of the Qinling Mountains, the grassland from south to north are as follows: Artemisia and gramineous grassland (meadow nature), gramineous (steppe nature) and Artemisia grassland. The area of Artemisia and gramineous grassland is widest.
