Direct Synthesis of Dimethyl Carbonate From CO_2 and Methanol Over Solid Bases

On solid basese,CO 2 could react with methanol to synthesize dimethyl carbonate.Influence of pressure,cooling speed of reactor and pretreatment of slolid bases on the synthesis of dimethyl carbonate,directly form CO 2 and methanol,was examined in this paper.Basic zeolites and other porous materials were found to have obvious catalytic activity for this reaction,moreover,samples prepared by microwave irradiation exhibited a higher activity than those by impregnation.Finally the mechanism of reaction was briefly discussed based on these results obtained in this article.
