KH 550 modified palygorskite and adsorption performance to reactive dye

Palygorskite was modified using silane coupling agent KH 550.The adsorption performance of modified palygorskite to reactive dye was discussed.The effects of adsorption time,pH,adsorption tempera ture and adsorbent dosage on the adsorption performance of reactive blue KNB and reactive yellow AES onto modified palygorskite were investigated.The results showed that modified palygorskite exhibited better adsorp tion capacity than pure palygorskite.The adsorption capacity of KH 550-modified palygorskite was the best under the following conditions: adsorption time 80 min,pH 3~4,adsorption temperature 45 ℃,adsorbent dosage 2 g/L.
