Analysis of production technology and market of dimethyl carbonate by transesterification

As a green chemical basic raw material,dimethyl carbonate (DMC) has a wide application.The production technology of DMC such as the phosgene process,methanol carbolnyl process and transesterification process were compared.The domestic and foreign consumption market of DMC and propylene (or ethylene) glycol byproduct was analyzed.The application prospect and production of DMC in China were outlined,and reasonable suggestions on the development of production technology of DMC by the transesterification process were presented.
