摘要
Inverse vulcanized polysulfides have been proposed as a promising sustainable material as they can be synthesized from waste sulfur in a simple one-pot reaction. This perspective reviews the current state of polysulfides as sorbents for the recycling of metals and gases. The benefits and drawbacks of polysulfide sorbents compared to other state-of-the-art and industrially used sorbents, including activated carbon, are also discussed.
