Clinical observation of Madigan's prostatectomy for treatment of benign prestatic hyperplasia

Objective To evaluate Madigan prostatectomy in the treatment of benign prestatic hyperplasia prostatic(BPH). Methods 106 patients with benign prestatic were treated by madigan prostatectomy and the patients have been followed up for 6～48 months.Results All patients were operated successfully and recorered smothly.The after discharging form the hospital, the average IPSS score was 4.0,the licing guality score was 0～2,the maximal uroflow rate was 18～21 ml/s, Satisfactory results were achieved in all cases,no incontinence or urethral strieture occurred. Conclusion Madigan prostatectomy is an ideal method of operation for the treatment of BPH
