摘要
In view of low-carbon steel commonly used in storage and transport equipment and pressure vessel industry, the acoustic emission signals samples of the low carbon steel specimen in the pitting corrosion process are derived with 10% FeCl3·6H2O,3.5%NaCl as well as 10.8% FeCl3·6H2O+0.05% NH4Cl solution. The changing rule of AE signals in the course of low carbon steel pitting corrosion is studied. The AE phenomena is are confirmed during the course of pitting corrosion of low carbon steel. The experiment basis monitoring the pitting corrosion process of low carbon steel with AE technology is established. The result shows that acoustic emission technology can detect pitting corrosion of low carbon in time.
