The application of nasal septum cartilage as the support graft of the nasual columella in the nasal tip plastic

Objective To explore the septum cartilage as support graft in the application of oriental nasal tip rhinoplasty. Methods Use nasal septum cartilage as the columellar strut graft among 50 cases of nasal tip in the orthopedic patients, 27 cases by fixed-suspension type transplantation, 13cases by extension transplant, 10 cases by septal extension transplantation. Results Except for one case suffering from subsequent operation as the nasal tip did not be supported effectively,all the other 49 cases operations are successful and satisfying. Conclusion According to the different situation, applying different forms of implant of nasal septum cartilage to columella support transplantation is a good method of nasal tip plastic surgery.
