Study on active control of vibration in flexible beam

Piezoelectric elements were used as sensors and actuators in this paper.The mechanical-electric coupling dynamical equations of piezo smart structures were derived.Idependent modal space control technique based on Linear Quadratic Regulator(LQR)control methodology is adoped for the vibration suppression of smart strutures,it is concluded that the presented method can suppress vibration effectively.
