Advance in Toxicity of Penicillic Acid

Penicillic acid(PA) is the main metabolite of Penicillium cyclopium Westling, widely polluted in the feedstuff. It is proved that PA has toxicity to various animals in heart, liver, kidney and other organs damage,at the same time PA is potentially carcinogenic. Therefore, it makes a significant sense to clarify the toxicity, mechanism of poisoning and union toxicity with other mold toxins of PA.In this paper, the organ toxicity,cell toxicity,molecule toxicity and united toxicity of PA were reviewed.
