Objective To analyze the prevalent characteristics of clonorchiasis sinensis in limestone mountainous districts, summarize the control results and put forward measures for control of the disease. Methods The data concerning the survey of clonorchiasis sinensis in the past years were colleted and analyzed. Results Clonorchiasis sinensis was prevalent widely in limestone mountainous areas of Yangshan County. The first intermediate host was Alocinma longicornis and the second intermediate host was Pseudorasbora parva mainly. The infection rate of Pseudorasbora parva with Clonorchis sinensis ceracariae was 19.63% in 1980 and zero in 2005; the infection rate of Alocinma longicomis with Clonorchis sinensis cercariae in 1978 was 93.33% and zero in 2005。 The infection rate of Clonorchis sinensis in inhabitants in Dalang village was as high as 48.25 % in 1975 and now positives can be detected in 2005.
