This project aims to map the available evidence on the role of nurse managers in promoting environmental sustainability in healthcare settings. A scoping review will be conducted following the Joanna Briggs Institute methodological guidance and reported according to PRISMA ScR. The review will consider studies and relevant grey literature published in the last five years, in Portuguese, English, French or Spanish. The Population, Concept and Context framework includes nurse managers, nursing leaders and nursing management or leadership; environmental sustainability and implementation of sustainable practices; and healthcare settings. The review will examine leadership, management, educational strategies, practice change, waste management, resource use, carbon footprint, and sustainable procurement.
