摘要
Spreading effect can be defined as improving machinability in cutting large-work hardening-capacity ductile metals such as pure aluminum, pure copper and so on. The effect is achieved by spreading a material on the pre-cut surfaces. This report shows that spreading effect is different from the Rehbinder effect, and goes on reveal the generating conditions and the mechanism.
