Working with Ceramic Slurries

In many ceramic processes, preparation of optimum ceramic slurries becomes the first critical step. Some significant factors in processing ceramic slurries include specific gravity, viscosity, pH value, mixing speed and time, and temperature of the slurries. Several equations have been derived to be used for precisely adjusting specific gravities, and techniques are proposed to consistently measure the viscosity of thixotropic ceramic slurries in a manufacturing environment.
