Vine resources investigation and utilization analysis in Culaishan Mountain

The vine resource investigation in Culai Mountain Provincial Nature Reserve by using selected sample plots and sample trees demonstrated that there were 64 vine species,belonging to 48 genera,21 families,which respectively accounted for 63.4%,94.1% and 87.5% of the total species,genera and families of wild vine resources in Shandong Province;62.1% of the vine species belong to 6 families(Vitaceae,Cucurbitaceae,Convolvulaceae and so on);their climbing mechanics are divided into 4 main types,among which twining accounts for 45.3%,tendril climbers for 31.3%,hooking for 14.0% and adhering for 9.4%;38 species of herbaceous vines account for 59.4%,and 26 woody climbers for 40.6%;Strangling in plants is involved with Genus Celastrus,Vitis and Actinidia.The concrete suggestions of protection and exploitation were put forward.
