Study on a Thermophile Producing Thermophilic Protease

A thermophilic protease producing strain CQ36 were obtained from soil. The protease functioned opitimally at pH7. The enzyme exhibited high activity between pH 5-11.In addition, the enzyme had better tolerance on temperature. It remained 40% activity under 75℃ for 30 minutes.
