Research Progress on Activity of Carrageenan Oligosaccharides

Carrageenan oligosaccharides can be obtained from the marine polysaccharides,such as carrageenan,by the methods of acidic hydrolysis,biological degradation or physical degradation.Compared with carrageenan,carrageenan oligosaccharides have favorable biological activity because of their such characters as smaller molecular weight and easily to be absorbed,so that it attracts more and more attention.The advancement about the biological activities of carrageenan oligosaccharides is introduced in this paper.
