Screening and characterization of thermophilic strains which producing thermophilic protease

After primary screening and secondary screening,thermophilic bacterium strain YMTC?1049 which highly produced thermophilic protease was isolated from the samples from Tengchong.Strain YMTC1049 was most similar in morphological and physiological charateristers to Geobacillus genus.Phylogenetic analysis based on 16SrDNA sequences showed that strain YMTC?1049 is most closely related to Geobacillus stearothermophilus.Based on the data of phenotypic properties and 16?SrDNA sequence analysis,strain YMTC?1049 was determined temporarily as Geobacillus sp.
