The effect of cryopreservation on the membrane integration and function of rat bone marrow cells

Objective:To make a systemic study on the effects of crypreservation on the membrane integration and function of rat marrow cells.Methods:Rat marrow cells were cryopreserved by slow cryopreservation and rapid cryopreservation.Results:Rapid cryopreservation using VS1 as cryopreservation solution was a rapid,simple and efficient method. A quantitative fluorometric test of intracellular FDA intensity and membrane integrity showed that there were no significant differences among the fresh cells?the slow cryopreserved cells and the rapid cryopreserved cells.Conclusion:The study of these results would be beneficial to the application of the rapid cryopreservation of marrow cells in the clinical therapy.
