Purification of Solvents for Electroanalysis: Benzonitile

The relevant physicochemical properties of benzonitrile are tabulated and its most important solvent properties are discussed. Examples of typical electrochemical studies in benzonitrile are presented. The impurities present in commercial benzonitrile are listed and a recommended purification method is described.
