Abstract Various urazolyl‐substituted compounds, e.g. (I), (III), (V), and (VII), are oxidized with tert‐butyl hypochlorite and then subjected to hydrolytic work‐up, generally in the presence of a base, yielding the corresponding carbonyl derivatives such as (II), (IV), (VIII), or their tautomers, e.g. (VI).
