Since the introduction of the first 3D perovskite-based light-emitting diodes (LEDs) utilizing perovskite materials in 2014, researchers have made remarkable progress in enhancing their performance. Perovskite-based red LEDs have significant potential as a component in lighting and display technology. This chapter provides a comprehensive overview of the materials and devices used in red perovskite LEDs. This chapter covers these topics from two main perspectives. Firstly, it discusses the commonly used light-emitting materials for red perovskite diodes, their fundamental properties, material synthesis methods, and strategies for optimizing material properties. Secondly, the chapter examines the device structure of red perovskite LEDs, the materials commonly used in each functional layer, and the strategies for optimizing device performance. Finally, it analyzes the current research progress, summarizes the challenges and opportunities in the field, and provides insight into the future of red perovskite LEDs.
