Solubility: insoluble in water. Form Supplied in: off‐white to pink powder; commercially available. Preparative Method: 1 the aqueous solution prepared by dissolving basic cobalt(II) carbonate in 30% trifluoromethanesulfonic acid was gradually concentrated to obtain [Co(H 2 O) 6 ](CF 3 SO 3 ) 2 . [Co(H 2 O) 6 ](CF 3 SO 3 ) 2 was placed in a platinum crucible for 3 h in an argon stream at 200 °C to obtain a polycrystalline single‐phase sample of Co(OTf) 2 . Handling, Storage, and Precautions: do not get in eyes, on skin, or on clothing. Handle under inert gas. Store in cool, well‐ventilated, and dry place in tightly closed bottles. Air and moisture sensitive. Wear protective gloves, clothing, eye, and face protection.
